This announcement contains important information regarding certain changes in the Credit Card Payment process. We strongly recommend you kindly go through the details below and comply as necessary.
To make online transactions safer, the Reserve Bank of India has made it mandatory for all online transactions to have an extra level of authentication, effective from 1st August 2009.
This 'extra' level of security is a password that you will have to enter after submitting your Credit Card details when making online payments. You will need this password while transacting with our premium services websites as well as any other website in India.
This new security level is called VBV - Verified by Visa or MSC - MasterCard SecureCode.
How to Register?
To register your Credit card please visit the respective bank's website that has issued the card. If you are a Visa user, you can visit the bank website's verification section here. For MasterCard users, the page looks like this.
Please note that Last Date of Registration is 31st July 2009.
