As already informed multiple times on the upcoming major changes in the SMS Gateway Service throughout India, the following information is to update you with the latest developments in this regard.
As you are aware, TRAI had notified a complete new framework to manage commercial communications and is aimed at curbing the problem of Unsolicited Commercial Communication (UCC) or spam calls and messages vide its Regulation “The Telecom Commercial Communication Customer Preference Regulation (TCCCPR 2018) dated 19th July 2018.
We have received communication from multiple operators that DLT platform will be live from 1st June 2020. Post this date, traffic of only such registered entities using headers would be allowed via DLT platform and the rest of the headers will be rejected.
Pursuant thereto, all the senders of commercial communication are required to follow a registration process. Kindly ensure that you have registered as principal entities on the DLT platform and also register the headers to avoid rejection of traffic post DLT implementation registered as Principal entities on the DLT portal.

Apart from the registration, please also fulfill the critical requirement of uploading all the consents of your customers on the DLT portal which will enable you to continue sending the commercial communication aligned with customers consent/preferences.
