[Very Important] Migration of RightMX Mail Server - Saturday 9 Aug 2014

Dear Client,

This is to inform you that the Enterprise Mailing solution server shall be under migration on Saturday 9th August 2014. Please find further details below.

Migration Date : Saturday 9th August 2014

Service Impacted : Mail Server

Why the need of Migration ? : As a part of our Quality assurance policy we regularly upgrade our infrastructure to meet the Industry standards & to protect the servers from any possible sign of crashes/downtimes. Since hard drive of the servers are mechanical devices hence we have a time frame of upgrading the hardware the moment it reaches its 3 years running phase. These servers have nearly completed their three years of operations and hence we feel its right time to move it to heavy duty servers which would not only improve the overall performance but also offer the latest hardware to meet the industry standards.

Migration Description: During this time we will be migrating the mail data to a new & powerful server with the following configuration : 

Intel Xeon E31240 3.20 Ghz Processors (R) series
16 -32 GB supported ECC Ram
2 X 1 240 GB SSD (On RAID - 1)
2 x 2 TB HDD
2 x 4 TB HDD
1 GBPS Port

Mail Server configuration for mail clients:

  1. Incoming mail server : mail.example.com / enterprisemail.in
  2. Outgoing mail server : mail.example.com / enterprisemail.in

Mail Server IP: 205.147.111.56

Maintenance Impact: The Migration would start in the Evening at 08.30 PM GMT 5.30 + (IST) and would be completed by 05.00 AM (Aug 10, 2014 - Sunday). Provisions have been made so that not a single mail will get bounced in this period but you will not be able to access Webmail or Outlook to check the mails. 

Please Note: 

  1. After the migration if you face any issue when logging in webmail then please use url https://enterprisemail.in instead of http://mail.example.com to login in webmail.
  2. After migration if you face any issue in Outlook when sending and receiving mails then please use enterprisemail.in in Outlook incoming and outgoing mail server settings.
  3. Please do not forget to replace "example.com" above with your exact domain name while accessing webmail or configuring the mail clients.
