Upgrading & migration of the existing Windows 2003 server to Windows 2008 server

Dear Clients,

It has always been our policy to provide you the best services and latest solutions available in the IT arena hence we always strive to upgrade ourselves and our services time to time. In this process, we are elated and excited to announce the upgrading & migration of the existing Windows 2003 server "Owl". As a festive gift we are upgrading the existing accounts Free of cost for you.

All the websites and services currently running on the Owl server shall be migrated to a new server named "Goldfish". The Goldfish server is a Windows 2008 server equipped with the latest .NET 4 framework along with MySQL 5 and PHP 5 support. The complete features list can be found below:

Migration Process

The migration of the websites shall be started shortly.  All the files, databases etc. shall be moved to the new server one by one website. The necessary redirections/pointing of the domains shall be processed next to that.  For a smooth migration and to avoid files and update of your websites, we shall restrict the access of individual website during the migration phase.

We are in process to minimize the downtime of the websites. We keenly request your cooperation and support during this phase. 

What you are expected to do?

Although the migration process is planned in a manner that no issues arise but still we strongly recommend you to take proper backups of the files, mails and databases of your website at the earliest. You shall be provided with the updated controls for the web space, mails etc. when the migration is complete.

If you have the controls of the domain then you will have to change the name servers to the following when intimated. Please follow our updates on this announcement.
