Server Upgrade and Migration :: Linux Server [Updated]

Dear Customers,

In an effort to provide you better webhosting services we shall be shifting our websites in the Linux server to a new server in the same location. The Configuration of the new server is as follows:

Dual Xeon 2.8 Ghz Processor with Dual Core Technology.
4 GB ECC Ram
160 Gb SATA 7200 RPM HDD
Second 160 Gb SATA 7200 RPM HDD(For Daily backups)
Linux Red Hat Enterprise 3.0
Cpanel/WHM
Fantastico
Network Level NETSCREEN Firewall

We'll be migrating all resellers and customers on the new servers. Please find below the details of the migration schedule.

Migration Date : August 29, 2006
Migration Time : The migration would start at August 29, 2006 11 PM IST ( GMT 5.30 +)

Scope of Work : All users accounts/mailboxes/db's and package information would be copied to the new server during this process.

Effect of Work : During the migration we have scheduled everything to offer zero downtime to all our customers. We'll be keeping Old Server online till August 31,2006 so no downtime due to DNS propagation will occur.

Some unexpected technical snags have occured during the migration. We regret that some of the sites may be unavailable of some time.

We are checking the errors and trying to resolve the problem at the earliest.

We expect your kind co-operation and support.

The migration to the new server has been postponed for the time being and the websites are back online from the old server only.

We are working on the whole issue and deeply regret the inconvenience faced. Please feel free to inform us if you face any further difficulties in accessing your websites or mails.
